REPUBLIC ACT No. 4761

An Act Creating the Municipality of San Vicente in the Province of Samar

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippine Congress Assembled:

Section 1. There is hereby created in the Province of Samar, a municipality to be known as the Municipality of San Vicente, which shall consist of the portion of the Municipality of Capul of the same province.

Section 2. The Municipality of San Vicente shall comprise the island barrios of Mongolbongol, Ternate, Sila Sangputan, Mahaba, Panganoron and Maragat and shall have its seat of government at the present island barrio of Mongolbongol.

The Municipality of Capul shall retain its present territory except the portion thereof included in the Municipality of San Vicente.

Section 3. The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the newly created Municipality of San Vicente shall be elected in the next regular elections for provincial and municipal officials.

Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
